Ronald McDonald House Mississippi is the legal, incorporated name of the non-profit organization and Ronald McDonald House is our cornerstone program that provides lodging for families when they travel to Jackson for medical treatment of their children.
Families are referred to the House through Coordinated Care or Social Services department at the hospital treating their child. Ask your child’s nurse to contact the appropriate staff member about getting a referral.
Families who have children eighteen (18) years of age or younger being treated at a local medical facility. Patients who are over the age of 18, but are being treated by a pediatrician, qualify also.
Fetal Medicine Program has specific, additional requirements.
We are located on the northwest corner of University of Mississippi Medical Center campus in Jackson. The House is within walking distance of Children’s of Mississippi hospitals and clinics and close to all other major hospitals and rehabilitation facilities. The street address is 2524 N. State Street, Jackson, MS 39216.
The House is owned and operated by Ronald McDonald House Mississippi—a Mississippi incorporated 501(c)(3) entity.
Ronald McDonald House Mississippi is 100% community funded by individuals, community groups, and businesses through direct donations or sponsorships of fundraisers. We are grateful, also, for in-kind gifts and services.
No family is turned away because of inability to contribute financially. A modest donation of $15 per night is recommended.
A family can be with us just one night or as long as several months. After thirty days of continuous stay, families rotate from Ronald McDonald House Mississippi giving another family the opportunity to be near their hospitalized child. Many families return for repeat stays throughout the treatment of their child.
